This painting is the second one created in a series of art pieces inspired by the classic song “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone. Entitled Breeze Driftin’ on By, this line from the lyrics made me think of the feeling of a cool, autumn breeze and the colors of fall swirling around.
A painter of acrylic, oil, and/or mixed media, themes of feminine beauty, strength, and power have always been prevalent in Lisa’s art. Since embracing motherhood in the 90’s, the wonder of womanhood has become an even more essential part of her current pieces.
The use of bright colors and ever apparent orbs, dots, circles, and bright colors all symbolize life and joy. Universal themes of spirituality, sensuality, and beauty are expressed in her work.
