I am very excited about this painting. This is the first of a series that I am currently working on that is inpired by the song “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone. I hope to show in each painting how we can find strength and peace in God’s creation. This song inspires me and I hope this will show in this series. More to come.
A painter of acrylic, oil, and/or mixed media, themes of feminine beauty, strength, and power have always been prevalent in Lisa’s art. Since embracing motherhood in the 90’s, the wonder of womanhood has become an even more essential part of her current pieces.
The use of bright colors and ever apparent orbs, dots, circles, and bright colors all symbolize life and joy. Universal themes of spirituality, sensuality, and beauty are expressed in her work.
