The Embrace was created during one of the most challenging times of my life. It shows lotus flowers that show how beauty rises from the mud. The lower part of the painting shows the earth colors of mud, even in the dark there is still light. There is also an embrace to show the embrace of life, of love. This painting was created with mixed media: acrylic paints, melted plastic bags, and varnish on canvas.
