This ink, watercolor, marker drawing was made for my friend Helen. In the drawing the heart is gold and has tears flowing down. Difficult times will lead us to cry but if we let the pain force us to run into the arms of God then we will find a treasure for our souls: God’s peace and love. As a mother I also believe that our prayers and tears will never be ignored.
A painter of acrylic, oil, and/or mixed media, themes of feminine beauty, strength, and power have always been prevalent in Lisa’s art. Since embracing motherhood in the 90’s, the wonder of womanhood has become an even more essential part of her current pieces.
The use of bright colors and ever apparent orbs, dots, circles, and bright colors all symbolize life and joy. Universal themes of spirituality, sensuality, and beauty are expressed in her work.
