30″x30″ acrylic on canvas
This piece was created for and with my dear friend in my mind. I gave birth to Esperanza, since this painting took nine months to complete. Esperanza means hope in Spanish and as I painted her I was thinking of my friend’s journey through healing and how I wanted this art work to be a symbol of hope for her to be inspired by.

A painter of acrylic, oil, and/or mixed media, themes of feminine beauty, strength, and power have always been prevalent in Lisa’s art. Since embracing motherhood in the 90’s, the wonder of womanhood has become an even more essential part of her current pieces.
The use of bright colors and ever apparent orbs, dots, circles, and bright colors all symbolize life and joy. Universal themes of spirituality, sensuality, and beauty are expressed in her work.
