This painting began as a doodle in my sketch book. I then painted the same image on canvas, then added plasticine and varnish. I was looking for a result that would remind us of a dream of a mysterious place(another dimension) from where ideas come.
A painter of acrylic, oil, and/or mixed media, themes of feminine beauty, strength, and power have always been prevalent in Lisa’s art. Since embracing motherhood in the 90’s, the wonder of womanhood has become an even more essential part of her current pieces.
The use of bright colors and ever apparent orbs, dots, circles, and bright colors all symbolize life and joy. Universal themes of spirituality, sensuality, and beauty are expressed in her work.
