What an amazing experience to have been selected at JCAL: Jamaica Center for the Arts & Learning to be a part of their Open Call Art Exhibit titled Identity, the I in the Mirror. Besides the wonderful opportunity to show our art with other Queens local artists we also had art talks. Curator Christian Solar prepared thoughtful & thought provoking questions and there was opportunity for the audience to ask questionsof the artist. It was great to be able to discuss my art process, my artist journey, & my artist goals & dreams.

A painter of acrylic, oil, and/or mixed media, themes of feminine beauty, strength, and power have always been prevalent in Lisa’s art. Since embracing motherhood in the 90’s, the wonder of womanhood has become an even more essential part of her current pieces.
The use of bright colors and ever apparent orbs, dots, circles, and bright colors all symbolize life and joy. Universal themes of spirituality, sensuality, and beauty are expressed in her work.
